This is Azumino Family Chapel: the church is not the building, but the vibrant group of followers and disciples of Christ who meet here throughout the week to worship their Lord and Saviour and who reach out to all of God's children in the surrounding communities. There are countless books published around the world every year. However, not all of these books are useful or lead their readers to joy and happiness. The Bible is the most influential book every published, and is translated into more languages than any other. Every year, the Bible ranks as the world's best-selling book. The Bible has changed the world, influencing culture and crafts, the philosophy of law and order, the foundation of democracy, the position of women in society, and has had an impact on the lives of men and women in countless ways. That is because it is the "love letter" from the creator of this world, the Lord our God. Azumino Family Chapel was founded in Toyoshina over 30 years ago by an American missionary. It is an evangelical congregation founded securely on the teaching of the Bible. In June 1997, the church built its new location at the present site in Kashiwabara, Hotaka. We are blessed with a wide range of members from 2 to 77 years old. Every Sunday, approximately 30 of us join our hearts in worship at the Sunday Morning Service.
