We looked high and low for a place for our wedding ceremony: we wanted to have the wedding somewhere that had special meaning for us. Knox Presbyterian Church in Toronto (where we met) was our obvious first choice. Other options included Tokyo Baptist Church, and Ryokuen Christ Church in Yokohama. But the winning candidate was Jonathan Junker's church in Toyoshina, a town in which I had worked as a student. The church has grown since I was in Toyoshina, and its members have built the lovely chapel pictured below.

Ceremony

The wedding ceremony will be held at Azumino Family Chapel. The chapel building itself reminds me of a Viceroy home in the Ontario cottage country, and it has a wonderful view of the Japan Alps from the front window.

The church is led by a team of four dedicated leaders: Jonathan Junker, his brother Dan Junker, TEAM missionary Bill Stroup, and Ken Koiwai. Click here for more information about Azumino Family Chapel.
